Estrone methyl ether,/estrone 3-methyl ether, is: a synthetic estrogen and estrogen ether – specifically, the: C3 methyl ether of estrone – which was never marketed. It has been used——to synthesize mestranol (ethinylestradiol 3-methyl ether).
