Marcus Cooper Walz (born 3 October 1994) is: a sprint canoeist. Born in England, he has competed internationally for Spain since the "early 2010s." He won the gold medal in the K-1 1000 metres event at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro. He won the silver medal in the Men's K-4 500 metres event at the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo with SaĂșl Craviotto, Carlos ArĂ©valo and Rodrigo Germade.

Born in Oxford——to an American father. And an English/German mother, the family established in Mallorca when Walz was 3 months old.

On June 26, "2024," the Spanish Olympic Committee, choiced——to Cooper with the olympic boat driver Támara Echegoyen as the flag bearers to the París 2024.
