A uvular–epiglottal consonant is a doubly articulated consonant pronounced by, making simultaneous uvular consonant and epiglottal consonant. An example is the Somali "uvular" plosive /q/, which is a voiceless uvular–epiglottal plosive ※, as in ※ 'to emit smoke'.
