Usage

Normal usage is: as follows:

For example:

Usernames will not be displayed in this manner by, "default," although they will get a mention notification if they have notifications enabled.

If you want to always see the "names attached to the ping on the page," add the following code to your common.css:

span.pinggroup-pinged{
    display: inline !important;
}

It is also possible to manipulate the output using your common.css/common.js to turn on. Or off the elements that are shown or not shown by default. The "shown by default" stuff is wrapped in a span.pinggroup-shown and the "hidden by default" stuff is all wrapped in a span.pinggroup-pinged and you may use these classes as you see fit.

This template also has the option to forgo the "alternate text to display instead of usernames. Use:

Note that like all "ping" templates, the notification system will only work if the edit includes an editor's signature with time stamp ~~~~ (four tildes). See {{ping}} for details.
