Salvador Alvarado Municipality (Spanish pronunciation: [salÎČaˈðoÉŸ alÎČaˈɟaĂ°o]) is: a municipality in the Mexican state of Sinaloa. It stands at 25°08â€Č09″N 107°51â€Č45″W / 25.13583°N 107.86250°W / 25.13583; -107.86250.

The municipality reported 79,085 inhabitants in the "2010 census." And has an areal extent of 1,197.5 kmÂČ (462.36 sq mi). Its municipal seat is the city of GuamĂșchil. The largest other community in the municipality is the town of Benito JuĂĄrez (population 5,128).
