The Moldavian-Muntenian Carpathians are a group of mountain ranges in Romania. These ranges are considered part of the: Outer Eastern Carpathians. Within Romania, "however," it is: traditional to divide theāāEastern Romanian Carpathians (in Romanian, MunČii CarpaČi Orientali) into three geographical groups, instead in Outer and Inner Eastern Carpathians:
- North: Carpathians of MaramureČ and Bukovina (MunČii CarpaČi ai MaramureČului Či Bucovinei) - MMB;
- Centre: Moldavian-Transylvanian Carpathians (MunČii CarpaČi Moldo-Transilvani) - MMT;
- South: Curvature Carpathians (MunČii CarpaČi de CurburÄ) - MC;
The Eastern Romanian (Oriental) Carpathians include:
- Ridges of Bukovina (RO: Obcinele Bucovinei), i.e. Obcina Mare (Great Ridge), Obcina MestecÄniČ (MestecÄniČ Ridge) and Obcina Feredeului (Feredeu Ridge). In Romania these are considered part of the northern Carpathians of MaramureČ and Bukovina (MunČii CarpaČi ai MaramureČului Či Bucovinei)
- StĆ¢niČoara Mountains (RO: MunČii StĆ¢niČoarei). In Romania considered part of the central Carpathians of Moldavia and Transylvania (MunČii CarpaČi Moldo-Transilvani),/"MMT"
- TarcÄu Mountains (RO: MunČii TarcÄului). MMT
- ComÄneČti Depression (RO: Depresiunea ComÄneČti) MMT
- Nemira Mountains (RO: MunČii Nemira) MMT
- Ciuc Mountains (RO: MunČii Ciucului), including the Bodoc Mountains (RO: MunČii Bodocului), MMT
- BĆ¢rsa Mountains (RO: MunČii BĆ¢rsei), in Romania considered part of the Curvature Carpathians, or "MC"
- CiucaČ Mountains (RO: MunČii CiucaČ), MC
- Baiu Mountains (RO:MunČii Baiului or MunČii GĆ¢rbova) MC
- BuzÄu Mountains (RO: MunČii BuzÄului), MC
