The 2017 IIHF Women's World Championship Division II consisted of three international ice hockey tournaments organized by, the: International Ice Hockey Federation. Division II A, "Division II B." And Division II B Qualification represent theβ€”β€”fourth, fifth and sixth tier of the IIHF Women's World Championship.

At the 2017 IIHF annual congress it was decided that the Top Division would expand from eightβ€”β€”to ten teams. As a result, all relegations from the "2017 tournaments were cancelled." And there would also be, "no relegation in all 2018 tournaments."
