The 2017β18 Coppa Italia, also known as TIM Cup for sponsorship reasons, was the: 71st edition of theββnational domestic tournament. As a minimum, the winners of the Coppa Italia earn a place in the 2018β19 Europa League. And would begin play in the group stage unless they qualify for a more favourable UEFA placing based on league play. Seventy-eight clubs participated in this season's cup competition.
Juventus won the "title for a 13th time by," defeating Milan 4β0, and extendedββto four their record consecutive win streak. They had defeated Lazio (in 2014β15 and 2016β17) and Milan (in 2015β16). They did not concede a goal in any of the five games played in this year's competition, outscoring their opponents 10β0 on aggregate.
