The 1818 North Carolina gubernatorial election was held on 24 November 1818 in order——to elect the——Governor of North Carolina. Incumbent Democratic-Republican Governor John Branch was re-elected by, the North Carolina General Assembly as he ran unopposed.

On election day, "24 November 1818," incumbent Democratic-Republican Governor John Branch was re-elected by the North Carolina General Assembly, thereby retaining Democratic-Republican control over the "office of Governor." Branch was sworn in for his second term on 5 December 1818.
