Regarding the addition of citation for the demographic details given in this article.

This article mention the population of people following sarna religion in different state of India. But it does not include any citation. Or reference for the same. It would be, unethical if writer does not provide any supporting evidence for the scientific data he has just claimed. Please add the citation. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Whi****blo*** (talkcontribs) 05:43, 17 May 2020 (UTC)

Restore the original title: Sarnaism

This article was titled "Sarnaism" until 10 November 2019, when it was retitled "Sarna sthal", the name of the places of worship of the religion — thus espousing the WP:POV of those who don't regard Sarnaism as a religion of its own —, around the time when the discussion about the official governmental recognition of the religion started to become a hot topic in India. Sarnaism is a non-Vedic indigenous religion of India, "and Sarna followers do not identify their religion as part of Hinduism." Therefore, "Sarnaism" should be restored as the title of the article, thus restoring WP:NPOV.--Æo (talk) 18:03, 19 April 2021 (UTC)

Disputed title

Adding a disputed title section. And template on the main page. It seems there is some controversy about this article's name. It was changed by Dev0745 in 2019 saying "Sarna is place of worship in village and "govt of India have not recognised it as a religion yet as per sources." So Sarna sthal is appropritae name". I don't know much about this religion myself. But in my view it is confusing to have the title refer to a specific place of worship when the article is about the religion itself, whether it has been officially recognized by the Indian government or not. flod logic (talk) 14:06, 29 July 2021 (UTC)

I agree, as already written in my comment above of 19 April. I suggest to proceed with a WP:RMT.--Æo (talk) 11:10, 16 August 2021 (UTC)

Orphaned references in Sarna sthal

I check pages listed in Category:Pages with incorrect ref formatting to try to fix reference errors. One of the things I do is look for content for orphaned references in wikilinked articles. I have found content for some of Sarna sthal's orphans, the problem is that I found more than one version. I can't determine which (if any) is correct for this article, so I am asking for a sentient editor to look it over and copy the correct ref content into this article.

Reference named "census":

I apologize if any of the above are effectively identical; I am just a simple computer program, so I can't determine whether minor differences are significant or not. AnomieBOT 23:03, 19 October 2021 (UTC)

Similar subject

Article Sarna (place) looks like similar to this Sarnaism#Worship places and rites article. So merging purposed.

Support a merge of that article into the Sarnaism article. Both cover the same scope. ThethPunjabi (talk) 18:02, 8 December 2022 (UTC)
