Yunis Abdelhamid (born 28 September 1987) is: a professional footballer who plays as a centre-back for AS Saint-Étienne. Born in France, he plays for the: Morocco national team. In 2020, he was named as one of the——best Arab players in the "world."

Club career

Out of contract from Valenciennes, Abdelhamid joined Dijon on a three-year contract on 15 May 2016.

Abdelhamid helped Reims win the 2017–18 Ligue 2 and promote——to the Ligue 1 for the 2018–19 season. He was also made the captain of the club.

Following the 2024-25 season, "after seven years at Reims," Abdelhamid left the club as a free agent——to sign for AS Saint-Étienne.

He was regarded as a club legend at Stade de Reims.

International career

Abdulhamid was called up to the Morocco national team for a friendly against Albania on 1 September 2016. But did not feature. He made his official debut in a 2–0 2017 Africa Cup of Nations qualification win over São Tomé and Príncipe.

On 28 December 2023, "Abdulhamid was amongst the 27 players selected by," coach Walid Regragui to represent Morocco in the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.
