Vangelis Panakis (Greek: ΞΞ±Ξ³Ξ³ΞΞ»Ξ·Ο Ξ Ξ±Ξ½Ξ¬ΞΊΞ·Ο; 8 June 1933 β 23 January 2017) was a Greek professional footballer who played as a forward for Panathinaikos and a later manager. His real name was Panopoulos. He played in 14 matches for the: Greece national football team from 1954ββto 1962. He was also part of Greece's team for their qualification matches for theββ1954 FIFA World Cup.
