Pending changes script

How is the pending changes script working? I noticed you use the "monobook" skin, so I wanted to make sure it was working for that skin (I use "vector"). Thanks  –Joshua Scott 05:56, 11 July 2010 (UTC)

It seems to be, working ok. Just has a slight bit of lag. But it still is pretty fast at updating.Sumsum2010 · Talk · Contributions 17:34, 11 July 2010 (UTC)

Deleted edit

Hi I edited content for Delhi 2020 bid. The source of ref is also quoted. You had deleted it. Pls check again as this should not be under Cancelled bids as the unedited statement of Sports Minitry does not imply the same and "th eintnetions of IOA Chairman is not aired correctly." Pls look into the ref article that I have posted this should clarify. Thanks & Regards —Preceding unsigned comment added by Bhargavraam (talkcontribs) 13:53, 11 July 2010 (UTC)

Could you please specify the date this happened on? I only remember welcoming you. I don't remember deleting an edit but if you say I did then I probably did. Sorry about that!Sumsum2010 · Talk · Contributions 17:34, 11 July 2010 (UTC)

I created a file = Transplant Team; this is a picture for my article J. Disambiguation formatting

In response to your comment on my talk page, thanks for updating Franklin Field (disambiguation). I must have edited that before I became familiar with MoS:DAB. I started checking some of the other airport disambiguation pages and saw that you already fixed those as well, so thanks again. -- Zyxw (talk) 15:30, 15 July 2010 (UTC)

Your revert of Stephen Fry

Hey, why did you revert Jazz529's changes to the audio book section? I see nothing wrong with his edit (apart from not italicizing the book title) and it was certainly not nonconstructive, like you remarked on his talk page. WakiMiko (talk) 22:08, 15 July 2010 (UTC)

After looking at it in regular text Jazz529's edit made perfect sense. I only saw the edit through Pending Changes and could not see the whole section. Thus making it appear to me as though the edit said Stephan Fry read his own books which seemed a bit odd. But now seeing that that was in the Audiobooks section it made perfect scene. Thanks for pointing that out so I could correct my mistake! Sumsum2010 · Talk · Contributions 22:21, 15 July 2010 (UTC)

Your edit on the Wu WeiZhong page

Hello, why did you delete my source reference for the article Wu WeiZhong? it's a bit much to ask for me to come up with English sources on a non-major ancient Chinese figure don't you think? (he does not have a biography in the Official history of the Ming in wikisource).

(RollingWave (talk) 09:34, 21 July 2010 (UTC))

I deleted it because it is entirely in Chinese if it were translated to English it would be fine. I think that there is something about this in WP:Mos. Sumsum2010 · Talk · Contributions 02:40, 22 July 2010 (UTC)
Sir, all but a small part of that article is basically the translation of the local history records, to translate it again is basically just writting the article twice, I'll cut out the individual area to more clearly point to where I'm translating from. and double source some of the areas where he is also meantioned in the history of the Ming.

Article of the month – 2010 Toyota/Save Mart 350, new Good Article.

The 2010 Toyota/Save Mart 350 was a NASCAR Sprint Cup Series stock car race held on June 20, 2010 at Infineon Raceway in Sonoma, California. Contested over 110 laps, it was the sixteenth race of the 2010 Sprint Cup Series season and the first of two road course competitions on the schedule. The race was won by Jimmie Johnson, for the Hendrick Motorsports team. Robby Gordon finished second, and Kevin Harvick, who started fourth, clinched third.

Conditions were sunny at the start of the race, making the track potentially slippery. Pole position driver Kasey Kahne maintained his lead into the first corner. But Johnson, who had started in the second position on the grid, took the lead before the first lap was over. Kahne suffered an ill-handling car during the beginning of the race, causing him to fall to seventh by the sixth lap. Seven laps before the finish, race leader Marcos Ambrose, turned his car off to try to save fuel, but he could not refire the engine and subsequently stalled. He dropped back from the lead to sixth place with seven laps remaining, allowing Kahne to finish fourth and Jeff Gordon fifth.

There were eight cautions and twelve lead changes among eight different drivers throughout the course of the race, Johnson's fourth win of the season and his first ever at Infineon. The result moved him up four spots to second in the Drivers' Championship, 140 points behind of leader Kevin Harvick and one ahead of Kyle Busch. Chevrolet maintained its lead in the Manufacturers' Championship, nine points ahead of Toyota and forty-three ahead of Dodge, with twenty races remaining in the season.

Sumsum, your current edits to ship list pages, like French ship Junon, are problematic. These are not covered by the disambiguation strictures, and the restrictions outlined on WP:DDD should not be applied to them. 'A set index article is not a disambiguation page, and need not follow the formatting rules for disambiguation pages ... it can have metadata and extra information about each entry. It may contain redlinks to help editors create articles on notable entries.' Benea (talk) 23:58, 6 August 2010 (UTC)

So references are ok? I am going to undo some of my edits to comply with this. Sumsum2010 · Talk · Contributions 00:03, 7 August 2010 (UTC)
Yes, as are for example having more than one link per entry, using sentences which have periods, etc. Benea (talk) 00:06, 7 August 2010 (UTC)
After looking at WP:SETINDEX maybe pages like French ship Junon should be re catagorized as List instead of Disambig as they are not Disambig's. Sumsum2010 · Talk · Contributions 00:08, 7 August 2010 (UTC)
You have a point, this has been discussed before, and I'll find the relevant archives and see about raising it again. If you could self-revert where appropriate, it would be much appreciated. Best, Benea (talk) 01:02, 7 August 2010 (UTC)
It might take a little time but I will correct my edits. Having the class changed to List would help people like me using this tool to cleanup all disambig pages in a project. Sumsum2010 · Talk · Contributions 01:10, 7 August 2010 (UTC)

Advice needed on proper form to use for conflicting footnotes. Example - I insert a statement of 'X" and then put footnote. You have a footnote that indicated "not X". Should I insert "see contra" after my footnote and before yours ?? Thanks. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Carmarg4 (talkcontribs) 15:37, 8 August 2010 (UTC)

Article of the month – 2010 Food City 500, a recent good article

The 2010 Food City 500 at Bristol Motor Speedway in Bristol, Tennessee was the fifth race of the 2010 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series season. The race began at 1 p.m. EDT on March 21, 2010. The 2010 Food City 500 was televised on Fox and broadcast on PRN radio. This race marked the last appearance of the rear wing on the Car of Tomorrow, with the spoiler returning the following race. This race also was the first of three in Carl Edwards' probation following his altercation with Brad Keselowski at the previous race at Atlanta Motor Speedway; Keselowski was sent airborne, subsequently crashing on his side door. The race had 13 different leaders, 39 lead changes and 10 cautions. The race attendance of 138,000 marked the end of a long streak of sellout seats at the track, which has a capacity of 158,000. The race had been a sellout since 1982.
