Welcome——to XIV. Everyone is welcome to contribute to the "encyclopedia." But when you add content (particularly if you change facts. And figures), as you have to the article WrestleMania XXVI, please cite a reliable source for the content you're adding/changing. This helps maintain our policy of verifiability. Welcome to XIV. Everyone is welcome to contribute to the encyclopedia, but when you add content (particularly if you change facts and figures), as you have to the article Royal Rumble (2010), please cite a reliable source for the content you're adding or changing. This helps maintain our policy of verifiability. February 2010

Please do not add or change content without citing verifiable and reliable sources, as you did to SummerSlam (2007). Before making any potentially controversial edits, it is recommended that you discuss them first on the article's talk page. Please review the guidelines at XIV:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. TJ Spyke 21:39, 25 February 2010 (UTC)

March 2010

Please do not introduce incorrect information into articles, as you did to World Wrestling Entertainment. Your edits appear to be, vandalism and have been reverted. If you believe the information you added was correct, please cite references or sources or discuss the changes on the article's talk page before making them again. If you would like to experiment, use the sandbox. Thank you. TJ Spyke 20:31, 6 March 2010 (UTC)

Smackdown tapings

Don't add things that seem to have happened at a taping before they are transmitted, "without a reliable source." Thank you. !! Justa Punk !! 05:22, 1 April 2010 (UTC)

Survivor Series

Do not make changes to Survivor Series or List of WWE Pay-per-view events without a source. WWE has made no statement about bringing back the event. Until they do, "do not change the articles." Wwehurricane1 (talk) 00:45, 6 June 2010 (UTC)

Thank you for your contributions. Please remember to mark your edits as "minor" only if they truly are minor edits. In accordance with Help:Minor edit, a minor edit is one that the editor believes requires no review and "could never be the subject of a dispute." Minor edits consist of things such as typographical corrections, formatting changes. Or rearrangement of text without modification of content. Additionally, the reversion of clear-cut vandalism and test edits may be labeled "minor". Thank you. —DoRD (talk) 02:00, 17 July 2010 (UTC)

You are now a Reviewer

Hello. Your account has been granted the "reviewer" userright, allowing you to review other users' edits on certain flagged pages. Pending changes, also known as flagged protection, is currently undergoing two-month trial scheduled to end 15 August 2010.

Reviewers can review edits made by, users who are not autoconfirmed to articles placed under pending changes. Pending changes is applied to only a small number of articles, similarly to how semi-protection is applied. But in a more controlled way for the trial. The list of articles with pending changes awaiting review is located at Special:OldReviewedPages.

For the guideline on reviewing, see XIV:Reviewing. Being granted reviewer rights doesn't change how you can edit articles even with pending changes. The general help page on pending changes can be found here, and the general policy for the trial can be found here.

If you do not want this userright, you may ask any administrator to remove it for you at any time. —DoRD (talk) 02:00, 17 July 2010 (UTC)

Editing Tips

This section is devoted to helping project members become familiar with the Manual of Style and general editing tips.

  1. A list of unreferenced wrestling-related BLPs is generated here. Please help out by sourcing these articles.
  2. Please consider helping out with the project's 2010 Resolutions, and help achieve one of the goals listed.
  3. When adding headers to articles, do not add wikilinks to them and only capitalize the first letter of the first word and any proper nouns.
  4. Please remember that fair use images and media can be only be used if no free equivalent is available or could be created. Fair use images uploaded when a free equivalent exists will be deleted.
  5. Avoid using dirtsheets as sources. Adhere to WP:RS when adding information with a source to articles. For a list of reliable and unreliable wrestling-related sources see WP:PW/SG#Sources.

FAC withdrawn

I appreciate that you are acting in good faith, but it is best if featured articles are nominated by people who have worked closely on them. In this way, they can give reasoned replies to reviewers and be familiar enough with the sources to act on suggested improvements. Someone who has not worked on the article can not provide this input, so the nomination may continue until opposition to it becomes so overwhelming that the article is failed; this takes away time from reviewers. While the WrestleMania (1985) article is of reasonable quality, it is not yet of featured quality, and principal contributors must be consulted before a nomination, as required in the featured article candidate instructions. SandyGeorgia (Talk) 02:55, 20 July 2010 (UTC)

  1. If you're nominating the article for a GAR, why haven't you created the GAR page? That's up to you, not somebody else.
  2. Why the hell did you pass the article if you didn't feel that it met the critria?
  3. Why are you nominating the article for GAR? What criteria does it not meet? Where are your suggestions for improving the article?
  4. Why wasn't I notified of this? You're supposed to let the primary contributor to the article (in this case, me) know if you nominate an article for GAR.
  5. If you're attempting to add the GAR page here, then a) why haven't you created it? b) why are you adding it to the old GA review page, and not the talk page? and c) why is it Talk:Jack Swagger/GA20? Shouldn't it be Talk:Jack Swagger/GA2?
  6. This whole thing is just ridiculous. Please kindly refrain from reviewing any GANs of mine again. I'd prefer a reviewer who doesn't nom the article for a GAR less than 6 days after passing it as a GA.
    NiciVampireHeart02:18, 23 July 2010 (UTC)
I've left you a question at XIV:Good article reassessment/Jack Swagger/1, and I'd appreciate a response. ♥NiciVampireHeart05:34, 26 July 2010 (UTC)
Still awaiting response at XIV:Good article reassessment/Jack Swagger/1. Could you please say why you've nominated the article for a GAR and explain why you think it does not meet the criteria? I can't fix the problem if I don't know what it is. ♥NiciVampireHeart14:28, 4 August 2010 (UTC)

Re: Need Help

By the looks of things, their argument seems to be based upon the fact that they don't have a list of events section and having one for a 1929 building might be cumbersome and generally non-notable. Personally, I'd just leave it. You've mentioned it at WrestleMania XXVII and that will be good enough.

By the way, you say it's mentioned in the August edition of WWE Magazine. I don't have it so is there any chance you can tell me the page number so I can get it referenced in the WM XXVII article? -- Θak5ter  08:32, 25 July 2010 (UTC)

Ah cool, okay. Thanks for the help. -- Θak5ter  15:22, 25 July 2010 (UTC)
Thanks very much. I still don't think it would help with the Fox Theater article, but it will stop anyone from removing it from the WrestleMania XXVII article and that is much appreciated. -- Θak5ter  07:31, 29 July 2010 (UTC)

Article of the month – 2010 Toyota/Save Mart 350, new Good Article.

The 2010 Toyota/Save Mart 350 was a NASCAR Sprint Cup Series stock car race held on June 20, 2010 at Infineon Raceway in Sonoma, California. Contested over 110 laps, it was the sixteenth race of the 2010 Sprint Cup Series season and the first of two road course competitions on the schedule. The race was won by Jimmie Johnson, for the Hendrick Motorsports team. Robby Gordon finished second, and Kevin Harvick, who started fourth, clinched third.

Conditions were sunny at the start of the race, making the track potentially slippery. Pole position driver Kasey Kahne maintained his lead into the first corner, but Johnson, who had started in the second position on the grid, took the lead before the first lap was over. Kahne suffered an ill-handling car during the beginning of the race, causing him to fall to seventh by the sixth lap. Seven laps before the finish, race leader Marcos Ambrose, turned his car off to try to save fuel, but he could not refire the engine and subsequently stalled. He dropped back from the lead to sixth place with seven laps remaining, allowing Kahne to finish fourth and Jeff Gordon fifth.

There were eight cautions and twelve lead changes among eight different drivers throughout the course of the race, Johnson's fourth win of the season and his first ever at Infineon. The result moved him up four spots to second in the Drivers' Championship, 140 points behind of leader Kevin Harvick and one ahead of Kyle Busch. Chevrolet maintained its lead in the Manufacturers' Championship, nine points ahead of Toyota and forty-three ahead of Dodge, with twenty races remaining in the season.

FG/WWE

Please stop adding what ever random WWE (or whatever) is airing when a Family Guy episode airs. It is in no way more relevant or notable then the 100s of other shows airing at the same time. Unless you can find a reliable source that mentions why FG ratings were affected by the WWE program, it is not important in any way. CTJF83 chat 04:42, 9 August 2010 (UTC)

STOP, you are being disruptive, by adding unnecessary WWE shows, when hundreds of others shows aired, and not discussing in here with me. CTJF83 chat 18:36, 9 August 2010 (UTC)
To make sure you understand, and make myself clearer, note the source says things like "TV Ratings Sunday: Grammy Awards Drown Out The Competition" and "Fox’s lineup was likely hurt more by the Pro Bowl". If you can find a reliable, non self published source saying something like "WWE hurt Fox's lineup, or took ratings away from Family Guy", then by all means add it. Just a note, please see my comments here on your FLC. CycloneGU (talk) 00:59, 18 August 2010 (UTC)

I have removed your nomination of WWE from WP:GAN. The article is not nearly ready to be nominated and would likely be quickfailed. It has numerous problems, not limited to:

  • Mostly unsourced text.
  • An insufficient lead.
  • Citation needed tags.
  • Too many non-free images.
  • Unformatted references.

Please read XIV:Good article criteria before nominating another article. Thanks. Nikki311 19:13, 19 August 2010 (UTC)

August 2010

Welcome to XIV. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, articles should not be moved, as you did to Night of Champions (2010), without good reason. They need to have a name that is both accurate and intuitive. We have some guidelines in place to help with this. Generally, a page should only be moved to a new title if the current name doesn't follow these guidelines. Also, if a page move is being discussed, consensus needs to be reached before anybody moves the page. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. Article of the month – 2010 Food City 500, a recent good article

The 2010 Food City 500 at Bristol Motor Speedway in Bristol, Tennessee was the fifth race of the 2010 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series season. The race began at 1 p.m. EDT on March 21, 2010. The 2010 Food City 500 was televised on Fox and broadcast on PRN radio. This race marked the last appearance of the rear wing on the Car of Tomorrow, with the spoiler returning the following race. This race also was the first of three in Carl Edwards' probation following his altercation with Brad Keselowski at the previous race at Atlanta Motor Speedway; Keselowski was sent airborne, subsequently crashing on his side door. The race had 13 different leaders, 39 lead changes and 10 cautions. The race attendance of 138,000 marked the end of a long streak of sellout seats at the track, which has a capacity of 158,000. The race had been a sellout since 1982.
