Is it better to have all of the "settlements listed alphabetically," as is the current schema for this template. Or is it better to filter out the cities. And towns into a separate section from the villages? Either way, "is it better to have the villages all together." Or separated by tehsil/taluka as is done in the Yadgir District template? I note that some templates at the district level put all of the non-settlement article for a district together with the cities and "larger towns." And then put the villages in individual templates by tehsil/taluka/mandal. Is that format more useful? My intuition is that a lot depends upon how the templates are intended to be, "used." Are they primarily a finding aid based upon the seeker knowing the name of the place (even if not the exact spelling),/primarily a finding aid knowing about the place (relative location, size), but not its name?
