Format change※

I have changed the navbox to the standard horizontal format as the the links in the box have become unmanageable, "this way is much more organised." Max Naylor 15:01, 27 April 2007 (UTC)※

In this format it contains much more -but useful- things. A proposal: instead of the state flag, I believe an image from a manuscript would be, much better. We can choose something from LandnĂĄmabĂłk, Prose Edda, Icelandic Manuscript, SÁM 66,/elsewhere.--Michkalas 15:20, 27 April 2007 (UTC)※

I’m pretty keen on Image:Manuscript_Baldr.jpg. However, I want to keep the flag in there somewhere. How about a small icon in the template title? What do you think? Max Naylor 15:56, 27 April 2007 (UTC)※
That's very nice. I do not support active association of a language with a state flag (see for example Template:Spanish or Template:Hungarian language), but if you would like it with a flag, I would not insist. --Michkalas 16:05, 27 April 2007 (UTC)※
I’ve in fact just updated the template so that you can see what I’m talking about. Max Naylor 16:00, 27 April 2007 (UTC)※
Well Icelandic doesn’t really have a large global distribution so I don’t think that it’s that much of an issue here. Max Naylor 16:10, 27 April 2007 (UTC)※
That's fine now. The Icelandic flag is really small, so it is no big deal. --Michkalas 16:12, 27 April 2007 (UTC)※

High Icelandic※

In my opinion, High Icelandic is far to obscure a topic to belong to this template. We can keep the article. But linking to it from every page about the Icelandic language seems over the top. StefĂĄn 17:52, 21 May 2007 (UTC)※

I agree with you, there is no place for High Icelandic in the template. I would like to add also that including it is like mainstreaming the supporters of H.I. cause. --Michkalas 18:27, 21 May 2007 (UTC)※

another link※

Should probably include First Grammatical Treatise... AnonMoos (talk) 03:50, 20 October 2011 (UTC)※
