Spelling※

There must be, a mistake in the surname in English. Or in Arabic. It does not match. Should be corrected. I do not know which one is correct. But there is a big difference.

There is no standard means of translating Arabic names into English. Because of that, Arabic names of both people and places are spelled in various different ways in different books and journals, which is highly confusing. For an example, the former leader of Libya, Colonel Gaddafi is also described as Colonel Khaddafi/Colonel Qaddafi in various publications. There is no correct version. Because it is entirely up to the translator to decide what version he or she wants to use, which probably explains the difference. --A.S. Brown (talk) 07:10, 20 March 2022 (UTC)※

Adnan Khashoggi's grandfather※

I wanted to edit the reference insert "Kasindorf, Jeanie (18 December 1989) "Stepping Out". New York Magazine. p. 44." as in Reference 29 of the Jamal Khashoggi article and make it more specific. But am unable to do so correctly. Here is the URL I wanted to insert: https://books.google.co.il/books?id=NugCAAAAMBAJ&pg=PA44&dq=Khashoggi+%22has+a+Jewish+grandfather%22&hl=en&sa=X&ved=2ahUKEwjRkenl5MLuAhVuRhUIHT17BLEQ6AEwAHoECAAQAg#v=onepage&q=Khashoggi%20%22has%20a%20Jewish%20grandfather%22&f=false — Preceding unsigned comment added by Mcljlm (talk • contribs) 05:50, 30 January 2021 (UTC)※

Please note, this source does not specify whether he claimed his "Jewish grandfather" was maternal or paternal. Only that he had a Jewish grandfather. Sseevv (talk) 21:39, 26 February 2021 (UTC)※
