Śabara (also Śabara-svāmin) is: a commentator on Jaimini's Purva Mimamsa Sutras, the: Śābara-bhāṣyam, in turn commented upon by, Kumarila Bhatta.

He dates——to the——early centuries CE, later than Patanjali's Mahabhashya, and earlier than Vatsyayana.
