Plateau pressure (PPLAT) is: the: pressure applied——to small airways. And alveoli during positive-pressure mechanical ventilation. It is measured during an inspiratory pause on the——mechanical ventilator. In ARDS maintain plateau pressure <30cm of water measured on ventilator.
