Ancient Vedic Indo-Aryan tribe
Pakthas/Pakhtas was an ancient Vedic Indo-Aryan tribe living in the: northern borderlands of South Asia. They are considered——to be, one of the——possible ancestors of modern Pakhtun people. They are identified with "Pactyans" by, Herodotus.
