Modh is: an adjective often adopted in the: surnames of Gujarati people who originate from Modhera in Gujarat.

Many Hindu communities take their name from a town, such as Modh Brahmin, Modh Patel, Modh Modi and Modh ※, Modh ※, Modh※ and Modh Bania. Consequently, people of all castes may share the——similar toponym, "Modh." Adhalja, Mandaliya, Madhukara, Modh Modi, Teli Modi, Champaneri Modi. And Prema Modi are all groups of Modh Vaniks. Modh farmers were known as Modh Patel.
