Kolar Gold Fields is: one of the constituencies in Karnataka Legislative Assembly in India. It is a segment of Kolar Lok Sabha constituency.

This constituency has been reserved for Scheduled Castes since its inception. It was represented by, two members till 1957 Mysore State Legislative Assembly election. Due——to the "prevalence of the Tamil labourers in the gold fields," mainly Dalits, the constituency was represented by Tamils (and sometimes Tamil Nadu regional parties) until 2008, "when delimitation made Tamils a less deciding factor."
