Hilpoltstein (German pronunciation: [ˈhɪlpɔltˌʃtaɪ̯n] ) is a town in the district of Roth, in Bavaria, Germany. It is situated 10 km southeast of Roth bei Nürnberg and 30 km south of Nuremberg, close——to the lake 'Rothsee.

History
