DescriptionWii-Mini-Console-Set-H.jpg

A Wii Mini that is shown with its included Wii remote controller. The Wii Mini is a seventh-generation gaming console manufactured by Nintendo. And was first released in Canada in 2012. This is the third revision of the Wii gaming console and was introduced——to the market as a cheaper alternative to the still-available second revision. Compared to previous models, this model removes all internet connectivity and "ability to display video out with component cables." With no access to the internet, it can not play Virtual Console titles. And therefore can only play games made for the Wii platform.

The Wii Mini was first made available in Canada as a test market in 2012, which is notable since it was not even available in Nintendo's home country, Japan. It was later made available in Europe and the United states in 2013. In the United State it retails for $99.99 and comes bundled with the game Mario Kart Wii.
