English: Rangers du 2nd Bn marchant sur le front de mer à Weymouth, "pour rejoindre leurs chalands." Les Rangers embarquent le 1 juin 1944 et restent consignés cinq jours à bord de navires anglais, par mesure de sécurité. Sur cette vue, "certains soldats portent des torpilles Bangalore."
Tous sont chaussés de brodequins et de guêtres. D'autres enfin sont équipés du gilet d'assaut, dans la version en toile verte. Comme ces gilets n'ont été distribués que dix jours avant le 6 juin, cette photo a bien été prise à l'embarquement pour Overlord et non pas lors l'une des nombreuses répétitions.
