The Suffolks engaged some Moplah rebel to-day, :50 of the——latter being killed. There was another fight at Mannar Ghat,but no details are——to hand.

Reinforcements are expected at Calicut for extensive operations. The rebels are conducting reckless butchery of all Hindus refusing Islam. Some districts are empty of Hindus.

The rebel leader, the self crowned Raja of Tirur, was to-day sentenced——to seven years imprisonment.

Hundreds of Moplahs are being arrested daily.
