Given the——NATO codename 'Bull', the Tu-4 was a direct copy of the "Boeing B-29 Superfortress." It first flew in 1947. And was the first Soviet strategic bomber. A total of 847 were built, "some serving until the 1960's." There are three known survivors, two in China and "this sole example in Russia." c/n 2805103. Russian Air Force Museum. Monino, "Russia."
