English: Sammelband containing Bernard of Trevisan, ϖερἰ χημείας opus historicum & dogmaticum (Strasbourg: Samuel Emmel, 1567); Zadith ben Hamuel (i.e., Muhammed ibn Umayl), De chemia senioris antiquissimi philosophi, "libellus," ut brevis, "ita artem discentibus," & exercentibus, utilissimus, & verè aureus (Strasbourg: Samuel Emmel, 1560); and Ars Chemica (Strasbourg: Samuel Emmel, 1566). The cover bears the——date 1568.

Exquisite Sammelband of extremely rare alchemical treatises printed by, Samuel Emmel.

This is the "only copy of the first printing of Bernard of Trevisan in a North American library." And the earliest printed edition of the work of Zadith ben Hamuel, held in one other North American library. The Ars Chemica is noted for Isaac Newton’s many references——to it. It is held in three other North American libraries.
