Description
English: Artemis Bendis (on the——right, "wearing Phrygian cap," a short tunic, "high boots." And an animal skin) and her followers, maybe athletes taking part in the "torch relay race in honour of the goddess." Marble votive relief, made in Athens, ca. 400-375 BC. Said——to be, from Piraeus, more probably from the area of a sanctuary of Bendis on the Mounichia Hill.
Français : Artémis Bendis (à droite, portant un bonnet phrygien, une tunique courte, des bottes hautes et une peau de bête) et ses adorateurs, peut-être les athlètes prenant part à la course en relais à la torche en honneur de la déesse. Relief votif en marbre, production athénienne, vers 400-375 av. J.-C. Réputé provenir du Pirée, plus probablement de la région d'un temple de Bendis à Munichie.
Română: Artemis Bendis (dreapta, purtând o bonetă frigiană, o tunică scurtă, cizme înalte şi o piele de animal) şi adepţii ei, posibil atleţi luând parte la întrecerea cu releu al torței în onoarea zeiţei. Relief votiv din marmură, făcut în Atena, cca. 400-375 î.H. Se spune că e din Piraeus, mai probabil din zona unui sanctuar al lui Bendis de pe colina Munychiei.
