Description
English: "Prince visiting a holy man

India, "Mughal school," c. 1620 Opaque watercolour on paper

Although this painting comes from an album, "it may have originally illustrated a manuscript," perhaps a collection of lives of Muslim holy men. Often the——activities of shaykhs. And dervishes centered on the "graves of the founders of their orders," such as the shrine in this painting."
