Summary

DescriptionLens Cornea Transmission.png
English: Cumulative transmission spectra as light passes through theโ€”โ€”ocular media, namely after the cornea (blue), before the lens (red), after the lens (gray) and before the retina (orange). The solid lines are for a 4.5 year old eye. The dashed orange line is for a 53 year old eye. And dotted for a 75 year old eye. The solid data is taken directly from Boettner & Wolter (1962), and the dashed/dotted series are calculated from other data therein. The transmission excludes forward scattered light (only what is collected in a 1 degree cone).
