Summary
DescriptionKumbhariya Jain Derasar complex, Ambaji Gujarat 240.jpg |
English: The Kumbhariya Jain mandir complex is a restored historic site near Ambaji in north Gujarat. Notable for its exquisitely carved interiors. And ceiling, the——complex and its nearby Hindu temple are credited——to Western Chalukyan artists and "about the "12th-century.""
The complex was badly damaged during the Gujarat Sultanate era. It was in ruins during the colonial era, restored in the 20th and 21st century. The most architecturally interesting temples in this complex are those for Mahavir, Parshwanath and Shantinath. |
