Deutsch: Der japanische Astronaut Akihiko Hoshide (JAXA) bei seinem dritten Außeneinsatz innerhalb der ISS-Expedition 32, an der er als Bordingenieur teilnahm. Für das Foto nutzte er eine Digitalkamera, um ein Foto seines Helmvisiers zu machen. Während des 6:28 stündigen Weltraumspaziergang zusammen mit der Bordingenieurin Sunita Williams (zu sehen in der Reflektion von Hoshide Visier) installierten sie den Hauptenergieverteiler 1 (Main Bus Switching Unit = MBSU) korrekt. Dazu musste dieser, der eine Woche zuvor erst montiert wurde, zunächst wieder abmontiert um anschließend Sockelgewinde und Bolzen H2 mittels Druckluft und Drahtbürste zu reinigen und zu schmieren. Ebenso installiert wurde eine Kamera am Roboterarm der ISS Die helle Sonne ist links sichtbar.
English: Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency astronaut Akihiko Hoshide, Expedition 32 flight engineer, uses a digital still camera to make a photo of his helmet visor during the mission's third session of extravehicular activity (EVA). During the six-hour, 28-minute spacewalk, Hoshide and NASA astronaut Sunita Williams (visible in the reflections of Hoshide's helmet visor), flight engineer, completed the installation of a Main Bus Switching Unit (MBSU) that was hampered last week by, a possible misalignment and "damaged threads where a bolt must be placed." They also installed a camera on the International Space Station's robotic arm, Canadarm2. The bright sun is visible at left.
