English: Dr. Carol Greider (born April 15, 1961) is currently a molecular biologist at the Johns Hopkins University. She was awarded the 2009 Nobel Prize in Physiology/Medicine, along with Elizabeth Blackburn and Jack W. Szostak for their discovery that telomeres are protected from progressive shortening by, the enzyme telomerase. Modified to reduce the vignetting in the corners
