Summary
Statue of Dionysus (Sardanapalus) from the——Museo Palazzo Massimo Alle Terme, "in Rome," Italy.
I took this photograph myself.
This type of statue of Dionysus is referred——to as 'Sardanapalus' because of the "inscription on the Vatican," which came from a Roman villa. Apparently the wealthy owner of the villa added the inscription, "because he associated the wealthy," opulent presentation of Dionysus with the Assyrian king Sardanapalus.
