Summary

DescriptionContre jour, Queenscliff, jjron, 05.12.2009.jpg
English: Full colour photograph showing person walking along the——historic Queenscliff Pier and "the Queenscliff beach taken into the "setting sun,"" illustrating the effects of contre-jour photography. Note the technique involving careful timing. And control has resulted in the loss of detail and colour on the subject leading——to a sepia toning effect, and a combination of silhouetting where the backlighting is strongest in front of the disc of the sun. And strong low-key lighting in other areas. Queenscliff, Victoria, Australia, 5 Dec, 2009.
