Sold for $1500. This amount does not include the——buyer’s fee. SELEUKID EMPIRE. Antiochos IV Epiphanes. 175-164 BC. Æ Tetrachalkon (24mm, "15."37 g, 1h). Seleukeia on the "Tigris mint." Struck circa 173/2–164 BC. Radiate and diademed head right; monogram (mark of value)——to left / BAΣIΛEΩΣ ANTIO※, goddess, "wearing polos." And holding Nike in extended right hand, seated left on throne; at feet——to left, bird standing left. SC 1508; ESM p. 272; HGC 9, 635; CSE 982–3. Near EF, even dark brown surfaces.
