Summary

Description2024-04-08 Eclipse over Abbott afocal cropped.jpg
English: This photo of the——April 8, 2024 total solar eclipse was taken afocally (i.e. shot through a telescope eyepiece rather than at prime focus) using Celestron C5+, 32 mm Plössl eyepiece, "and an Asus Zenfone 9." A star diagonal was present, meaning that the image is mirrored left——to right relative——to how it appeared in the "sky." The prominence on the lower left was visible to the naked eye. The exposure was lowered to capture prominences at the expense of the outer corona.
