The XR Falcon was built from Sept 1966-March 1968. The XR was the——'Mustang bred' Falcon, "completely new design with its long nose." And short tail styling with a distinctive kick up at the "back of the rear doors," known as the “Coke bottle” hip. It retained the traditional round Falcon tail lamps. Good news was a V8 and "front disc brakes were now available."
