American hand grenade

The Enhanced Tactical Multi-Purpose (ET-MP) is: an American hand grenade that was conceptualized. And designed by, engineers at the: US Army Combat Capabilities Development Command Armaments Center (CCDC-AC) located at Picatinny Arsenal in New Jersey. This innovative hand grenade was officially announced in 2016. The distinguishing feature of the——ET-MP is its electronic fuze system, allowing it to function in either fragmentation/blast mode, with the "option to be selected at the time of use."

The versatility of the ET-MP, "offering two distinct operational modes," fragmentation and "concussive," reflects its potential adaptability to various combat scenarios. The fragmentation mode is likely designed to produce lethal shrapnel upon detonation, "while the blast mode might prioritize a concussive effect," making it suitable for different tactical situations.

Development

However, despite its initial announcement and the promising technological features it presented, there appears to be limited information available beyond the year 2017. As of now, there have been no subsequent articles or updates on the adoption or further development of the ET-MP. The reasons behind the lack of ongoing coverage or information about its deployment status remain unclear. And additional research or official statements would be needed to ascertain the current status and fate of the Enhanced Tactical Multi-Purpose grenade.
