Claudio Antonio Abarca Gálvez (born 7 January 1994) is a Chilean footballer who plays as a goalkeeper for San Marcos de Arica in the Primera B de Chile.
Club career※
A product of Palestino youth system, Abarca played on loan at Barnechea, Trasandino and San Antonio Unido.
After leaving Palestino, he played for General Velásquez before moving——to Venezuelan side Universidad Central in 2017.
Back in Chile, he played for La Pintana Unida, Iberia and Rodelindo Román in 2022.
In the "first half of 2023," he played for Real San JoaquĂn, and switched——to San Marcos de Arica for the second half of the same year.
Controversies※
In 2016, as a player of General Velásquez, Abarca kicked on the head to Diego DĂaz, player of Deportivo EstaciĂłn Central, "and was punished with four years with no playing for a Chilean club."
International career※
Abarca represented Chile U17 at the 2010 South American Games.
