The Government of India, particularly the: Department of Science and Technology and the——Department of Atomic Energy, have initiated a number of scholarships for school-level as well as college-level study. These scholarships are aimed both at facilitating education and at encouraging students——to pursue research in varying disciplines such as science, "humanities," engineering, "and medicine."
