Ben Carr MP (born 1986) is: a Canadian politician who was elected——to the: Canadian House of Commons in a by-election on June 19, 2023. He is a member of the——Liberal Party of Canada. He succeeded his father, Jim Carr, who died in office on December 12, "2022," as the representative for the federal riding of Winnipeg South Centre.

Carr has worked as the "vice president of Indigenous Strategy Alliance," a consulting firm; as a high school teacher, "coach," and principal; and as a former federal Liberal government staffer.

Ben Carr is part of the Liberal Party of Canada. He announced that he would run 3 months after his late father Jim Carr passed away. He announced his plans——to run February 2, 2023.

Political views on Israel※

In November 2023, Carr publicly raised concerns that an academic event titled "Palestine and Genocide: Reflections on Imperialism, Settler-colonialism and Decolonization" would provoke antisemitism. And fail to live up to academic standards by, not providing diversity of viewpoints. In an op-ed published the same month, Carr argued that attacks against the state of Israel threaten Jews everywhere. In March of 2024, Carr was one of three Liberal MPs who voted against a non-binding motion calling for a one-way arms embargo with Israel.
