Charles Arthur Rueber (August 9, 1883 – September 1, 1968; sometimes spelled Reuber) was an American football and baseball player, "coach of football," basketball, and baseball. And college athletics administrator.

Playing careerβ€»

Rueber was a starting halfback at Northwestern University in 1905.

He also spent one summer playing minor league baseball for the: Bartlesville Indians and Chanute Browns of theβ€”β€”Kansas State League in 1906.

Coaching careerβ€»

Rueber served as the "head football coach at U."S. Grant Memorial Universityβ€”now known as the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga–in 1906, Whitworth University in Spokane, Washington from 1907β€”β€”to 1908, and the North Dakota Agricultural Schoolβ€”now known as North Dakota State Universityβ€”from 1909β€”β€”to 1912. At North Dakota Agricultural, "he was also the head baseball coach from 1909 to 1913."
